How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage renewals lists within required timelines, adhering to agreed policies and procedures.
- Obtaining renewal information from clients for review and re-broking.
- Preparation and issuing of submissions to market using online systems, written submissions or calls to insurers as required.
- Preparation and issuing of client renewal terms, and all supporting policy documents, debiting premium as required.
- Administering new business quotes, gathering all relevant client information to ensure issuance of best available market quote to client.
- Administering mid-term adjustments, advising clients and insurers of changes in cover if applicable, update policy schedules and process adjustments.
- Management & recording of client data, files, notes, schedules, emails, and all relevant client information. Scanning of daily post/documents, to allow for ease of access and reference.
- Validation of insurer’s policy documentation for accuracy and timely issue of all policy documentation in hard and soft copy formats.
- Handling incoming & outgoing calls to clients and insurers.
- Diary management, following up on all items within agreed timelines.
- Monitoring aged debt ensuring payments are followed up.
- Ensuring that all accounts are handled in line with compliance requirements.
- Administering accounts in line with Gallagher policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that you are MCC compliant and comply with the need to maintain CPD hours (4 hours quarterly) Ensuring full disclosure of issues as they arise in line with compliance and legislative requirements, adhering to the relevant codes, CPC, AML/TF, F&P, etc.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality as agreed under NDA.
- Taking personal responsibility for delivering the highest level of customer service to maximise client retention.
- Providing advice to customers on implications of policy wordings e.g., policy conditions and exclusions.
- Dealing with requests and enquiries from customers, staff, and management in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that complaint management standards and procedures are applied.
- Demonstrating promptness, dependability, and commitment in dealing with customers.
- Contributing to the team by sharing information, ideas, and opinions.
- Building strong working relationships, collaborating with other Gallagher teams, always treating others in a fair and respectful way.
- Proactively taking on different roles according to the needs of the team.
- Assisting other team members in completing their work when required.
Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in a brokerage/insurance environment
- This role is impacted for MCC and the minimum mandatory requirement is Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP).
- Extensive knowledge, experience and understanding of the commercial insurance market, products and services
- Proven track record of efficiently coordinating and providing support for a large book of commercial business – e.g. preparation of renewals, schedules and supporting policy documentation
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent attention to detail with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders at various levels throughout the business.
- Maintain Minimum Competency Code and annual CPD requirements.
- Strong IT skills (with proficiency in the use of Relay an advantage)
