Places To Visit With Your Family This Summer

Only a few weeks until the kids head back to school so we need to make the
most of the month of August. Here’s hoping it will be sunny all month! I don’t
know about you, but I start to think about all the places I would like to visit
before the dark evenings arrive. Sure we all know, once the Rose of Tralee is
on the tele, summer is coming to an end. So, I’m going to make the most of
August by visiting some of theses fantastic Irish locations. Most of them
are quite reasonably priced so pack up the car and get on the road!

Tayto Park

Tayto Park is a place filled with great fun, adventures, animals, good food and
of course Mr.Tayto! There is so much to do here, the kids will never complain
about being bored. Great activities for the family including a zip line, climbing wall, playground and over 80 animals on site! Click Here to see a short video about Tayto Park.

Loftus Hall

I visited Loftus Hall on Halloween night and the I must say, haunted tour was unbelievable! A fantastic way to spend that night  of the year but Loftus Hall
is also a great place to visit in the summer time. You can hire bikes, pay some
outdoor games with the family or take a tour of the haunted house. It sounds
scary but its actually quite beautiful in the summer. While you are in Loftus Hall
you can take a stroll down to the Hook Lighthouse. You have so many options
here because you are on the coast line. Well worth a visit!

Wells House

We mentioned Wells House on a previous blog but this place just gets better
and better every year. Wells House is a victorian house and gardens
in the heart of Wexford. It’s really popular in our Wexford office because it’s
a great place to bring kids for the afternoon. You can bring a picnic or visit
Mrs. Stone’s Tea room, have a go in the adventure playground and take a stroll
around the woodland walk. Click Here to see a short video about things to do
in Wells House.

The Beach

We are blessed in the South East with some amazing beaches. Just pack up
the car with a picnic, get the kids organised and away you go for a relatively
cheap day out..well maybe treat them to an ice cream on the way home!
My favourite is Curracloe beach. When the sun is shining you could
actually be in Spain, it’s so beautiful.

John F. Kennedy Park

JFK Park is a 623 acre park that is dedicated to the memory of U.S. President
John F. Kennedy and located near New Ross in County Wexford. This is great
place for a family get-together and a picnic! It’s beautiful for a long walk or a
trip in the horse and cart if you legs get tired. There is a fantastic playground
for kids, especially toddlers. It’s also a great place to bring your dog for a walk.

Hopefully you find these suggestions helpful over the next couple of weeks.
Enjoy your time off we the kids before they get back to school. Edel in our Kilkenny
office will be writing a ‘back to school’ blog this week so keep an eye out for it!
